Helmet Motorcycle Snow
Fellow Bikers, gotta question about snow helmets?
It's getting cold here, and I'm looking for a helmet that has a breath box, and a chin curtain, and found one that has what I'm looking for, only it's listed as a snowmobile helmet. If you look it up, it's called a Z1R Venom Snow Helmet. My question.... is it common for a street bike rider (sport bike) to use one of these just for the road, and not snowmobiling? I dont want to get out there and look stupid, BUT.. figure what the heck if it's got what I'm looking for. Anyone else out there use one of these for general cold day riding? Just looking for opinions really... Other helmets you can buy the breath box seperate, as well as the chin curtain, however this has them all, and I like the look. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Where I live, we get NO snow, so am only planning on using this for my cold weather riding
Looks nice.
I never see snowmobile helmet on the road. That's probably because I very rarely see another bike in winter. You won't get comments about looking stupid due to the helmet. You may about just riding in winter.
As a guy who doesn't always wear a helmet, I sometimes switch to a full-face in winter.
The last HJC I bought (the kid's) came with a removable breath deflector.
I'll admit I like the thought of a heated shield.
We do get snow, and all the other frozen crap, too.
