How to present getting a motorcycle to my parents.?
Ok, so I am at an understanding with the dangers of motor cycles the price of insurance and the EXTREME amounts of responsibility required.
Every time I see someone on a bike I get this little rush of enjoyment.
So I have been looking into crash statistics and MSF courses. Explaining the reasons of lot of crashes, Drugs and speeding for the most part. Although there is always the threat of other drivers and yourself.
Ive yet to decide on a bike nothing over 250cc i would imagine until a great deal of experience is acquired.I figure I would be best off waiting until after the MSF course for there input anyhow.
At 16 I realize the impression idiotic teens have left making it hard for any responsible adult to consider the idea.

P.s All safety gear would be worn, Helmet pants jacket. I do have a sense of self preservation :p
First of all study up and don't plan on anything fast or powerful. Find a nice dual sport bike that is a small engine. 200- 250 cc. Know how your going to pay for it and just cover your every corner. If you know what your talking about and ask them to take you seriously then if there is a chance it is yours. I got a yamaha tw200 when I was about 10 and thats mostly because it is a smaller bike and it nothing that is too powerful. Don't aim for a speed bike or huge road bike if you think they are against the idea. Also you can present the money saved when it comes to the gas mileage difference. Most average around 40 to 50 mpg and mine will do about 70 mpg. It all depends on where your parents currently stand.
