Flat Grey Show

Is this a cherry plum tree?
We have a tree in our garden that had pink blossom, and has purple-green leaves. It has strange flat, grey-pink waxy seed pods and also has fruit that look like cherries. The only tree I can find that it might be is a cherry plum tree, but there is no mention of the flat waxy seed pods.
This photo shows a branch that has both the cherry-like fruit and the seed pod.

Does anyone know what it is please?
It does look like a cherry plum, and is definitely a plum. The seed pods are fruit that for some reason has dried without first maturing. Plum trees have no seed pods other than the mature fruit. Hope this helps...
