Eight Skate Cycling
What do you think of my little poem?
CASUAL BOYFRIEND
I love the way your lips touch mine.
I like the curress against my face.
There's no point in time,
we cannot finish this relationship race.
The hours turn into seconds.
One minute your here,
the next second your gone.
That time will be lost is what I greatly fear.
These handcuffs of compassion, love & respect,
cannot be unlocked with no ordinary key.
Like living a world full of fairytales.
When the only survivers are you & me.
Our love is strong, true & great.
Going around & around, a repeating cycle of nothing.
Like slowly skating a perfect figure skate eight,
around an innocent streem of bluffing.
You compare a single flame to a star.
Sharing every word with sincerity.
Labling me as the brighter light.
My smile read with appending clearity.
When we kiss,
I explain words I cannot comprihend.
You are my only true & honest,
CASUAL BOYFRIEND.
The idea is great, I would work on finding some other words perhaps and do a spell check.
What does "you compare a single flame to a star" supposed to mean? " a repeating cycle of nothing?" sounds empty?
You may be better off skipping the poetry and just taking your time to write down how you feel about the other. It will probably work better for you. I shy away from poetry myself and stick to my inner feelings, this works well for me. Good luck
